Olafur Eliasson

Olafur Eliasson, born in 1967 in Denmark, lives and works in Berlin.

Eliasson primarily works in photography and installations. His work evokes landscape in that it is often composed of primordial elements such as water and light . His installations, like his photographs, amplify sensory experience through shifts in color toning, the emphasis of details, and the repetition of imagery.

Olafur Eliasson is one of the best known European artists of this period.
